Dinnerhorn Bats Stop the A&M Run |
| A&M continued its run
toward a championship by defeating Police 8-7 in the final game of
the Loser's Bracket. Evan Jones made some fantastic plays at
third base and Peter Davies scored the winning run, leading A&M to
the championship.
Unfortunately, A&M wasn't able to overcome a huge first inning
explosion by Dinnerhorn. Dinnerhorn scored 16 total runs on
their way to the 2010 Portsmouth Babe Ruth 13-14 Division
Championship. Congrats to Jim Haslam and the Dinnerhorn team,
as well as Jack Peduzzi and his A&M players. |

Fan-tastic Time at the 2nd
Annual Will Berky Memorial Whiffle Ball Tournament |
| |
 |
On Sunday, May 16th about two hundred middle and
high school aged players had an awesome time at the 2nd Annual
Will Berky Whiffle Ball Tournament. As a result, about $5k
was raised to support an educational scholarship that has been created
in memory of our teammate, classmate and friend Will Berky. Will
played on the 2004 NH State Champion Little League team, Portsmouth
Babe Ruth as well as on the Portsmouth High School baseball team.
The scholarship is administered by the Piscataqua branch of the NH
Charitable Trust and will be given annually, beginning in 2010,
to one or more graduating seniors.
Also, a special congratulations to Portsmouth
Babe Ruth Alumnus Max Esposito who was selected as the
first recipient of the Will Berky Scholarship!
